The Program for Excellence in Project Delivery (PEPD) is a flagship initiative of the L&T Institute of Project Management (L&T IPM), aimed at developing top-caliber project management talent across L&T businesses at Tier 1 level. In collaboration with IIM Indore, a premier business school in India, this program blends academic rigor with real-world project insights to equip professionals with the skills required to execute complex projects successfully. PEPD is a modular program spread over a year, consisting of four intensive classroom modules (each of five days). It is tailored for L&T project professionals from S&E to Tier 1 levels, preparing them to lead independent projects or key project packages while driving delivery excellence and profitable execution.
As an integral part of L&T’s Pragati – Project Leadership Program, PEPD serves as Level 1 in the multi-tiered Career Progression Program (CPPs), forming a robust foundation for leadership growth in project management. By participating in this program, L&T’s frontline project teams contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

Program Objective
The prime objective of PEPD is to provide participants with deeper knowledge and practical tools to enhance their project execution capabilities. The program focuses on:
- EPC Project Lifecycle – A comprehensive understanding of EPC projects from concept to commissioning, including advancements in construction and site management.
- Planning & Scheduling – Mastering best practices in project planning and scheduling for improved execution efficiency.
- Project Cost & Finance Management – Developing expertise in financial and cost management to ensure project profitability.
- Supply Chain & Contracts Management – Enhancing procurement effectiveness through strategic contract and supply chain management.Experiential Learning – Applying concepts through group case study discussions and simulation-based problem-solving of real-life project scenarios.
Eligibility Criteria
✔ Employees in S&E cadre up to Tier-1, with CP rating 6 or above
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in L&T
