In today's dynamic business environment, roles across the business landscape of L&T demand a versatile skill set
spanning various domains such as engineering, construction management, quality assurance, and supply chain
management. This shift has resulted in the company emphasising on personnel to become "master of most trades,
expert of at least one".
This program is part of the Functional Leadership Development series tailored to enable professionals to excel in their respective functions and bring deep competency and innovation, providing organisations with a competitive edge.
Program Objectives
The aim of the E-MBA-ICM Program is to develop mature and responsible techno-mangers as a future leader of L&T with an emphasis on managing construction business/projects at L&T who can fulfil responsibilities in diverse fields. The program objectives are:
- To elucidate foundations of the body of knowledge including principles and practices of construction project management and its related areas.
- To equip Participants with skills and competencies to supervise/manage construction project sites and work independently.
- To facilitate the application of the knowledge and skills to the effective delivery of the projects/functions, assigned to the Participants.
Program Outcomes for Participants
On completion of this program, participants shall
- successfully integrate theoretical knowledge on construction management with the real-world practices and the sector-specific nuances to enable better execution of construction projects
- sharpen technical skills and develop requisite managerial skills to execute complex and large construction projects
- be prepared to lead projects independently and holistically and thus propel career progression
- Receive MBA Degree from a leading university while continuing to be employed in L&T.
Program Pedagogy
The curriculum has been blended uniquely to include both classroom and skill-based workplace learning, scientific analysis of a problem, report writing skills, computer application skills and knowledge in managerial decision making.
The 80-credit program (designed as per UGC norms) shall be delivered through hybrid mode, with a combination Offline Modules at NICMAR UNIVERSITY Pune, L&T IPM (Vadodara / Chennai), online weekend classes, and Work Based Learning through projects (with guidance from designated mentors).
